Offline programming (OLP) is a great addition to online programming which helps to eliminate integration delays and risks (including financial losses) thanks to a preliminary creating and testing programs in risk-free virtual environment. Offline programming greatly improves production bottleneck finding, allows checking different approaches to make a robotic production line as efficient as possible.
There is an opinion that OLP is more suitable to large manufacturers because of the high production volumes. Partly it is true but only when we are talking about lowering delays in production when we need to integrate new lines/equipment/robots in existing production process. Otherwise.
